„Als Standort einer der renommiertesten Universitätskliniken in Deutschland und als Stadt der Wissenschaft ist Münster in besonderer Weise ein Gesundheitsstandort. Neun Hochschulen, über 60.000 Studierende, ein Netzwerk mit Spitzenforschung - der Hochschulstandort Münster hat Tradition und in den Hörsälen und Forschungsinstituten wird Zukunft gemacht. Bildung, Lehre und Forschung sind wichtigster Standortfaktor für Münster: Stadt und Wissenschaft gehören als feste Allianz zusammen und haben Münster zu einem führenden Bildungs-, Wissenschafts-, Forschungs- und Entwicklungsstandort in Europa und zu einem Zentrum geballter Innovationskraft gemacht. Zu diesem Gesundheitsstandort gehören natürlich genauso Initiativen wie die Tom-Wahlig-Stiftung. Für dieses Engagement bin ich sehr dankbar und daher mit Freude Unterstützer.“
