2.000 Visitors at 1st virtual TWS-Symposium

Great audience response

The 19th TWS-Symposium was organised in a virtual surrounding, due to the current Corona crisis. As always, more than 50 leading HSP scientists from all over the wold came together to discuss their current research results. But instead of meeting at one place as before, they now were connected via Zoom from their clinics and living rooms.

At the same time, this virtual conference was broadcasted in a live stream on the website of the foudation. The audience response was extraordinary. Nearly 2.000 vistors followed the stream during the day. This is a new record high for the rare disease HSP. Never before so many people came together to watch a conference about this disease. This underlines again the importance of the TWS-Symposium for the HSP research worldwide.

The TWS thanks all organizers of its 1st Virtual Symposium, especially Prof. Christel Depienne and Prof. Stefan Klebe (both UK Essen) as the scientific board of the conference, as well as Thomas Stender and its company Blickpunkt MS who organised the webstream.
