The Tom Wahlig Foundation annually supports two to three individual projects of about 10-15,000 € each, which serve the research of Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia. The total funding volume amounts to about 35,000 € each year.

The deadline for project submission is September 30 in 2023.

Based on the recommendation of a panel of experts, including previously funded individuals, the TWS Board of Trustees will make a decision at the end of the current year. An initial brief presentation of the project should be made at the annual TWS Symposium, which will be held in Erlangen, Germany, March 6-8, 2024.

In order to provide insights into the research activity to people affected by HSP, we expect, in addition to the annual interim report, a summary written in English and, if possible, German, understandable for the layperson.
