On the basis of the evaluation of a scientific jury, we honored two top-class project applications in this funding round.
Catherine Rodger from Cambridge receives € 17,500 for her research proposal on the subject of "Development of an AAV-mediated gene therapy for hereditary spastic paraplegia".
Darius Ebrahimi-Fakhari from Boston receives € 12,202. He is dedicated to the project "Characterization of ap4b1 - / - zebrafish as a novel in vivo model of SPG47 and its application in
small molecular screens ".
Both award winners are cordially invited to present their work at the next symposium on November 26th, 2021.
The Tom Wahlig Foundation is thus funding the 49th and 50th research project since it was founded in 1998!
