A successfull evening

I will do it anyway..

It was  a very special evening for all involved. And about 50 guests came to the town library to follow the partly very personal stories of the interview guests. Such as by Annika Gonther, whose Sohn Max suffers the Karthagener syndrome. The Cilia of the Airways are damaged due to a genetic error in rare disease. In addition, that the internal organs to the part are reversed. Otitis media, chronic colds, coughs are companion of the boys from birth to a constant. "I'm from clinic to clinic with the child, but only in Münster was recognized the syndrome actually easy to detect." Several times a day the filly must inhale, no matter, where he is located. Actually an ordeal for the whole family, however: wife Gonther and their three children emit an admirable optimism. "It's all good now - we can handle it."

And also Thomas Grüter cared for "AHA "effects. The doctor of medicine is sufferer of  perception disorder - suffering from Prosopagnosia. Faces all look alike to him, resulting in ugly scenes again and again. "Others are snapped now, not greet them, or does not recognize right away." He remembers other people on the course, the hairstyle, the voice - but this does not always work. Garcia is located in prominent company, because the actor Brad Pitt recently admitted to suffer from this weakness. Time and again our pacemaker and moderator of the evening Matthias Bongard knew how to tease out special moments. The really serious issue due to the casual nature of the WDR journalist got a lightness that all did well. So was also quite time hearty laugh. As when Roland Kaiser told of his chronic lung disease COPD. Kaiser is closely connected to the Foundation for several years and reported very openly its disease-induced breathlessness. Bongard: "I just wanted to suggest this would be but a great title for a song: breathless!"

Henry Wahlig did that just right. The son of our Foundation founder suffers from HSP and is now dependent on the wheelchair in long. However, warns he other stakeholders to make the disease to the absolute point of food. "Life is still so much. There is so much that you can nevertheless achieve and enjoy. And it would be fatal to miss it, because it deals only with the disease." Nevertheless: Council overtake, meet like-minded people, to replace this -, so Wilfried Strunz made it clear from the axis, is invaluable for those affected. The axis and self-help groups could be a valuable in many situations support. Not to mention still engage the people who are not affected and, as well as about Wolfgang Hölker. The Chief of Coppenrath Verlag in Münster was recently awarded the Federal cross of merit for his selfless commitment and took time to participate in the conversation. As well as PD Dr Tobias Warnecke of the University Hospital of Münster, who directs the HSP consultation and with great dedication manages people and advises.

"It was a great evening," - was so often to hear at the end of the event. And: "We forward to the next time!" We will join again.
