This year's TWS Research Award goes to Julia Kleniuk of Cambridge. She receives the grant for her project "Investigating the role of spastin's binding partner protrudin in endosomal sorting".
The jury also deemed the project "Using Label-free Proteomics for Target Identification and Validation of Novel Treatments for AP-4-associated Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia" by Afshin Saffari of Boston worthy of award.
Both researchers will present their projects at the symposium in Tübingen.
